Charlotte

Charlotte is a song written by Taylor Vick from their album, Wayfinder. (FKA Boyscouts). I arranged this piece for five part choir (SMATB) and piano. The piano drones a D note throughout the entire piece, similar to Chopin’s ‘Raindrop’ Prelude no. 15. The choir swells and swirls around that tonal anchor in a consistent and heavy build to the very end of the piece. This performance is from the Free Key Choir’s Before the Dawn concerts, at First Congregational Church of Oakland, CA in December 2023. Conducted The piano part is played by Monica Chew, the video was edited by Qinghui Kong at Gummybear Film and the sound was mixed by Lucy Broom.
